This is about a scenic viewpoint near my home in East Bremerton. The viewpoint is 1 mile north of Lyons Field on the Tracyton Beach Road. I often check it out for sunset photos and birds. Recently I noticed a very bad odor that smelled like a dead body. I looked along the bank where the odor was strongest and saw a place that was burnt by chemicals. My hunch is someone is dumping their RV holding tank over the bank.
After sunset on April 24, 2006. The rock formations look like lava. They are green with moss even in the shadows. I wonder if this area is part of an earthquake fault.
